Quick Update!

Hey everyone! So I know I've been MIA a lot lately, but I just wanted to let you all know that I am still here! Things right now are SUPER busy! Graduation is right around the corner, so I'm preparing for that and I'm also getting ready for full-time college this fall. I'm really excited about what the future holds for me in that area of my life. I cannot wait to get started!

EBay has been booming. I couldn't be any happier with my sales lately. I keep telling myself that I won't be able to work as much when the college life starts up, so I'm trying to work my butt off now so I don't have to work as hard then. The PT program is pretty intense, so I worry about having the time to do anything eBay related, but it'll all work out I'm sure.

Just so y'all know, I'm a total nerd. I absolutely love writing papers and studying. If I didn't get stressed out so easily, I would love it that much more! :D

So! Back to eBay! In March my sales hit an all time high! I was $43 and change away from hitting $2,000. This month, I've already sold around $650! My goal is $500 a week, so I'm getting there!

The last time I went thrifting, was on March 31st-April 1st. My family drove up to Ferdinand, Indiana again for our yearly yardsaling adventure! I really didn't buy that much. I spent around $100-$200. I should make atleast $600 or so from that haul. (I LOVE Yardsales, but I love the bins more ;) The profit margin is higher. )

Here's a pic of our vehicle, loaded down, and of my haul.

If you look closely, you can see the coveted Baby Alive doll that is worth around $250! My little sister found it, so we have to split the profit, but hey! It only cost $1!

In other news, I've been selling something so crazy that you probably won't believe it. Anyone want to take a guess? I've been selling ROCKS! Yes. You heard right. Rocks. I started last week and have already made $60. On rocks. More on that new chapter later! ;)

Hmmmm... I can't think of anything else to update y'all on.. Hopefully I've covered it all! I'll try to get posting regularly again, but don't hold me to that. LOL! Thanks for putting up with me, everyone! I really appreciate all the comments and support. :)

Thanks for reading!

  1. Physical therapy? Awesome! If you have a big store, you can definitely manage shipping while doing school work. It'd be hard to deal with listing too though. I worked part time jobs but didn't make anywhere near what I make on eBay. It's a lot better doing this than working at a call center or library...

    1. The only thing is I won't be living at home, (I'll be with my aunt through the week), so my family will have to ship things for me. I'm a total control freak, so I don't know how letting them handle all of that will go... lol I'll be worried sick! I'm hoping I can get my schedule Monday-Thursday so I can spend Friday listing. Fingers crossed that it all works out! :D

    2. Have you thought about having an extended handling time? You can even add a note when selling that you're a college student who sells part time to cover costs. I'm sure most buyers would be very accommodating as long as you're up front.

  2. I am laughing so hard at the rocks! It's so funny on what stuff actually sells on ebay! Great find to your little sis on the Baby Alive doll!

    2. I am experimenting with selling Pine Cones, though not much luck yet. I am surrounded by them here in Minesota

  3. Now don't tease us with rocks. You must spill the beans on the details of rocks. Great Baby alive doll.

  4. Selling online will be a great alternative to a part time job during college. I wish I would have been a reseller during my college years the flexible schedule compared to working my part time job while trying to study would have been great. It'll take a while but I am sure you will find a routine with ebay and college life. Good luck with everything.

  5. Hello! I am new to thrifting and love following your blog. Just wondering what you mean when you say that you "buy from the bins"? I'm not quite sure I understand what that means. Could you shed a little light on that for me? Thanks :)

    1. Hi there! So sorry for the late reply! The bins are in reference to the Goodwill Outlet, where everything is in huge bins and sold by the pound! Hope that helps! :)
