Sales Update! 8/1-8/12

So July wasn't ALL that great, but August is starting out wonderfully! Lot's of BIG sales and some hopeful offers keep coming in.

Here's the numbers:
Total number of sales: 17
Amount before fees: $362.85
Unreceived payments: -$11.50

I picked up these Harley Davidson boots at the Goodwill Outlet. The prices have changed since we were last there, so these cost be around $1.50. The prices went from $0.99/pound for 0-20 pounds, $0.79/ pound for 21-49 pounds, and $0.59/pound for 50+ pounds. Now it's just a flat rate of $0.79/pound no matter how much you get. So in a way it's a good thing for some people, but for me, I get over 50 pounds each trip, so I could've saved a little money if the prices hadn't have changed!

I thought this sale was hilarious! A friend bought me a Monopoly millennium edition game to resell. It wasn't worth the $2 he bought it for, so I decided I'd lot up all the pieces to sell for replacements. So I sold the pieces for $12 +shipping and the rest of the game sold at the yardsale for $2. Not bad!

I picked up this Sirius XM kit at a yardsale for $1. It was missing a few pieces but everything left in the box was brand new. It sold for $55 +shipping.

I picked up these Tommy Bahama swim trunks at the Goodwill for $3. They sold for $29.95 +shipping.

I seem to be finding a LOT of Littlest Pet Shop items lately, AND they are all selling fairly quick! This Get Better Center sold for $20 +shipping.
Oh yeah! I almost forgot! Three days after the buyer bought the item (they purchased on Friday, I shipped on Monday) after I dropped the package off, they messaged me asking me to cancel the transaction because they didn't mean to buy it! I let them know that they will have to return the item to me at their own cost since they waited THREE DAYS to let me know it was a mistake.. I foresee trouble in my future! Yikes!

Jeans at my favorite Goodwill are only $3 a pair, so when I found these men's Lucky Brand jeans I snatched them right up! They sold for $31.95 +shipping.

Lastly, I picked up these Naot boots at a yardsale for $2. I didn't know of the brand at the time, but they had a European size on them and they looked very steam punk to me so I bought them. Lo and behold upon researching the brand, Naot boots are a BOLO! These sold for a best offer of $55 +shipping to UK!

Well that's all folks! I hope you've had a great start this month like I have! Gotta get back to listing!
Thanks for reading!

    1. Thanks! The Center was the whole house, it was just missing the door and a hammock :) It had TWELVE watchers on it so I think it'll resell fairly quickly if it gets shipped back. Hopefully all works out!

  2. Those boots are awesome! I agree about the European size. I just bought some bright yellow plastic clogs that were made in Europe. I got them for a buck I think, so it was well worth the shot. They'll be listed for $30-$40.

Board games are a tough one for me. I LOVE to play them but I don't like to sell them. Too much work to go through all the pieces and all that. I haven't had a lot of good luck with that. But I'll buy the Dark Tower game... that one is worth the work!

  6. Hi Nandry,
I too also consider myself a teenage thriftier! I don't sell the things I buy on eBay or anything buy it's a fun hobby... then again I had no idea you could make that much off thrifting! Holy crap! Congrats on both that and the good finds. Especially the name brands! I've been thrifting for years and I know how cool it is to find name brands for cheep.
Thank you for sharing all your finds!
