Sales Update 6/17-6/23

Hey everyone! I'm back with a quick sales update! This week we kicked off Vacation Bible School at our church, so I'm staying pretty busy with that, but I am trying to get some listing done. Only 6 more pieces until ALL of my clothing will be listed! That deserves a party in my opinion! After these last six pieces I'll be left with shoes and my other miscellaneous items. I can't wait to have it ALL listed! I have NEVER had an empty "to be listed" pile. Wonder what that feels like?! ;) LOL!

Here's my numbers for the past week:
Total number of sales: 21
Total amount: $291.50

This Disney Plug N Play was picked up at the Goodwill Outlet a while back (I need to go back there some time soon!) so it probably cost me around $0.50. It sold for $10 +shipping.

I read somewhere that London Fog was a good brand to pick up, so when I found this coat for a dollar I scooped it up! I looked up completed listings, and similar coats hadn't even sold for $0.99.. But I listed it for $9.95 +shipping, and believe it or not, it sold within minutes of listing. Hmmmm.... Maybe I priced too low. Not sure how though! LOL

I bought two ties at the Goodwill a while back and instead of charging me $1.50 per tie, the lady charged me $3 per tie... Oh well. I sold this one for $19 +shipping.

These Baby Einstein DVDs sold for $20 +shipping. I paid $2 for them all at a yard sale!

I knew that Disney stuff sells quite nicely, so when we were at the Goodwill Outlet months ago, I picked up these popcorn buckets! I couldn't find any similar, so I listed them for $14.95. I let them go this week for a best offer of $9.95 +shipping.

These Love Comes Softly books were found at my grandmas house, they sold for $39.95 +F/S.

Finally, another quick sale. This Ralph Lauren jacket sold for $30 +shipping within a few days of listing. I paid $5 at Goodwill!

I hope your alls sales are finally picking up like mine are!
Have a great rest of the week!
Oh!!! Before I go! I must wish a  Happy 21st birthday to my amazing boyfriend Derek! I love you!!

Thanks for reading!!

Sales Update 6/3-6/16

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't post anything last week. EBay has for some reason come to an almost complete stop for me. I'm assuming that since it's summer and I've not been listing regularly people just aren't buying from my store!

This past week I got to have my senior pictures taken! My cousin Carrie is an AH-MAZING photographer, so she took all of my pictures. I can honestly say I'm in love with them! Here's some of the pictures from last week!

She has a blog if you'd like to check it out and she also has Twitter and Facebook.
Here's the links to her sites:

Another reason I've been slow to post on the blog this week is because I've been studying for the ACT. The test was Saturday (the 13th) so since that's over, I plan on spending ALL week listing my inventory. My goal is to get EVERYTHING that is sitting unlisted, listed this week. I have around 100 items or so that are unlisted and it's really taking up a lot of space. So today I took over 200 pictures of the massive jean pile that I talked about last week. I'm going to start listing them on eBay as soon as we get supper cooked and I can start working!

Anyways! Here's my numbers for the past two weeks!

Total number of items sold: 12
Amount of sales before fees: $266.35

These two Rainbow Brite glasses sold at auction for $20 +shipping. My aunt found these at Goodwill for $0.99 each.

I sold these boots on consignment. They sold for $39.95 +shipping to Australia.

I think I picked this up for $2 at a yardsale. It sold for $25 +shipping.

Cross stitch kits will sell even if they are started! This one sold within 5 minutes of listing for $15 +shipping.

This Genco straight razor sharpener was found in the same box of free stuff as the garage door openers. It sold at auction for $20.50. It only had two bids but it had around 12 watchers. This is why I don't like auctions..

I picked up this silver Panasonic flip clock for $2. It sold for $29.95 +shipping.

Here's another vintage cap! It sold for $9.95 +shipping.

I also had one sale on Poshmark!! It was a skirt that sold for a best offer of $20 (It was listed on eBay for $25). After fees on poshmark I will receive a profit of $16. IF the skirt had sold on eBay for full price, my profit would have been around $18 or so if I offered free shipping. So I'm happy with my profit margin on Poshmark for sure.

That's all for me this week! I hope eBay hasn't been as slow for you as it has been for me!

Sales Update 5/26-6/2

Hey everyone! I hope this sales slump isn't hitting you guys too! I've only had 4 sales the past 2 days. Not good at all.. I've not listed anything either, so that may be why sales are slow for me. I'm going to work on that today though! I've got a pile of items photographed and ready to be listed, then after that pile is listed, I'm going to attack the pile of jeans that is taking up space in my eBay room. I probably have 50+ unlisted pairs of women's jeans.. I know, I know.. That's bad. I paid around $0.40 a pair ages ago and I've never done anything with them! Oh! I also bought a pair of Lucky Brand men's jeans at the Goodwill for $3 to add to that pile last week! So maybe all the measuring will get done today. MAYBE.

I'm also eliminating ALL my coffee mugs. Yes, ALL of them! They're taking up SO much space, and I hardly EVER sell any of them. They are on sale 50% off in my store right now and I've not sold even ONE! If you're interested in those, check it out HERE!

Anyways! Like I said, sales are pretty slow right now..
Total number of items sold: 17
Amount before fees: $283.39
One Unpaid Item Case: -$25

Here's my sales from the past week:

Another baseball cap sold! This one went for a best offer of $12.50 +Shipping.

I found this Eddie Bauer down filled vest at an estate sale for $3. It sold for $39.95 +shipping.

At a yardsale a few weeks ago, my dad picked up two free boxes of tools and other miscellaneous items. These two garage door openers were in the box, and they are now definitely a BOLO!
One sold for $25 +shipping and the other sold for $17.14 +shipping.

This Honeywell thermostat was in that box of auction stuff from a few weeks ago. It sold for a best offer of $18 +shipping.

I've had this Beach Mat forever. It FINALLY sold for a best offer of $25 +shipping.

I've sold TWO of these microwave plates this week! One for $12 and one for $16 +shipping.

Another item that I've had forever! This Banana Republic polo finally sold for $19.95 +F/S

My grandma bought me these shoes at a yardsale. They sold for $20 +shipping.

I picked up this Nordicware butterfly cake pan for $1 and it sold for $15 +shipping.

That's all for this past week! I'll be back soon with another update! I hope you all have lots and lots of sales this month!

Let's Talk Poshmark!

With all the changes on eBay and the ups and downs that comes with selling online, why not branch out into other marketplaces to bring in some more profit?! I currently only sell on two platforms: eBay and the newly discovered Poshmark! I know there are other selling venues such as Amazon and Bonanza, but I've not taken the plunge into those marketplaces yet!

So let's talk Poshmark! For those of you who have no idea what a Poshmark is, it's an app for women and teens to resell clothing items and accessories out of their closet. It does have an online website, but you can only list items via your phone. Poshmark allows women to sell their shoes, purses, wallets, tops, pants, skirts, outwear, jewelry and accessories all on one platform. The app is very simple to use and it takes WAY less time to list an item versus listing on eBay.

I created a Poshmark account last week and so far I love it! I've not had any sales yet, so I'm slowly trying to build up my fan base and listing count. I don't expect any sales until I get my number up because Poshmark is solely a social media outlet. To get sales, you need lots of followers and at least 10+ listings.

Okay let's start at the beginning! Creating your account! You can download the Poshmark app onto your cell phone and sign up. If you sign up PLEASE use my referral code: PQWXJ and we will both receive a $5 credit! So! After you create your account, you will need to upload a profile picture and start following some brands or other users! (My username is @nandrysfinds if you'd like to see what I'm selling and follow me! Check it out online HERE.) Once you follow a few people, you're ready to list your first item!

Listing on Poshmark is incredibly simple. When you click the "Sell" button, you are taken to your camera to photograph the item. You can also select photos from your picture library. You can only add FOUR photos. Once you add your photos, you can then create a 50 character title, a 300 character description, fill in the item specifics, (size, brand, etc.), and then you set your price. I LOVE this part. First you type in the regular retail price (if you don't know, just make something up), and then you put your asking price. After you type in your asking price, it automatically tells you how much you will profit once your item is sold after the fees are taken out! (That's what I LOVE!).

Now the fees... It's a little higher than eBay, but on the Poshmark app you don't have to pay insertion fees, you don't have to relist anything EVER, you don't have to worry about shipping costs (I'll explain that next), or any of the other hassles that comes with eBay. The fees are a flat rate of $2.95 for all items that are $15 or less. If your item is more than $15, the fees become a flat rate of 20%.

Once your item is listed, your followers can like, comment, and share the listing. You need to share your listings as much as possible and respond to all the comments. Because it's social media, you will have a lot of interaction with potential customers. These gals on Poshmark just love their clothes and they'll be sure and let you know in the comments. So be kind and friendly always!

If your item sells, your buyer will pay via credit card through Poshmark. They do NOT accept Paypal. If you take Paypal on Poshmark you will not be covered so don't do it! Once your buyer pays, Poshmark will email you a pre-addressed shipping label for you to print out. It is good for up to 5 pounds shipped Priority mail. If your item is over 5 pounds, you, as the seller, will have to pay for additional shipping through Poshmark. If your item is 5 pounds or less, you will not have to deal with the shipping money, purchasing a label, or any of that hassle. Poshmark makes it quick and easy, making the buyer pay a flat fee of $4.99, (or less depending upon the cost of the item), and Poshmark will handle the rest. Once you receive the shipping label in your inbox, print it out, and package up the clothing piece to be shipped. The buyer does have the right to cancel the order at any time before the label is printed, so make sure you do it ASAP! Once your label is printed and the package is shipped, Poshmark will release your profit within 3 days (after the package tracking has shown that it is delivered). You can either cash out your profits, or spend them on Poshmark.

The feedback system is great! Buyers can leave what's called "Love Notes" once they receive the item. They will review your item on a five star scale and they can write as long of a review as they'd like. If the buyer opens a case because it is not as described or has not been received, they have 3 days to return it. The buyer CANNOT return the item if it does not fit or if they change their mind. (How awesome is that?!) All sales on Poshmark are final.

I think that's about all you need to know! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask below in the comments and I'll respond ASAP! Be sure that if you decide to create an account, that you use my referral code: PQWXJ.
