Ebay Sales Update 3/10-3/15

I'm a little late posting this weeks sales update due to the fact that I'm sick, and I didn't feel like moving much yesterday.. But I'm back today to get posting!

I didn't go to a Goodwill or Thrift Store this weekend because Friday, I had to go get my dog groomed, and Saturday, my family planted potatoes. Pretty exciting weekend.

This week, I only had 9 sales. Not too many, but they were pretty good nonetheless.

I had my very first international sale!! I sold this Zondervan Bible to a pastor in Canada! It sold for $6.95 +shipping.

I sold these gold Syroco Wooden Peacocks for a friend. They sold for $39 +shipping.

This Juicy Couture purse that I mentioned in an earlier post sold SUPER quick. I sold it for  $17 +shipping.

I sold this Ralph Lauren Polo Golf shirt that I bought last year at Goodwill for $14.95 +shipping.

I sold a Polo by Ralph Lauren shirt that I also bought last year at the Goodwill for $7 +shipping.

Lastly, I sold the dog Dad coffee mug I mentioned in an earlier post last week. It sold for $8 +shipping.

Goodwill Dress Haul 3/7/14

In my last post I told you guys I'd post some pictures of the 3 dresses I bought at Goodwill last week. So here they are! They were $7.99 each.

I love the colors in this dress. It's perfect for spring or I could wear it in winter with a cardigan or a jacket over it.

I found this black high low dress. The neon colors really pop against the black. It's perfect for summer!

My favorite out of all three is this vintage 1940's style dress. It's my absolute favorite color. It is all around gorgeous.
The dress was missing its original belt, so I found this black belt to go with it. I think it works well with the dress.
Thanks for reading my post! Hope you have been enjoying the blog so far! I'll be posting some more soon!

Goodwill Haul 3/7/14 + More!

Last Friday I had to go to the oral surgeon to schedule an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed, so while we were down there we stopped at the Goodwill. I spent a total of  $44, and yes, that's more than I usually spend, but I got some stuff for me and not just stuff to resell. I bought 5 coffee mugs to resell, 2 skirts and 3 dresses for me, and 2 things for my mom. I'll post pics of the dresses soon. (They're gorgeous!) Hopefully the 5 coffee mugs will pay for my total cost. Each coffee mug cost me $0.50.

Also! If you don't have one already, I would highly recommend asking a Goodwill worker about getting a Goodwill rewards card. You get 1 point for every $25 you spend, unless it's double point day, and once you get 10 points you will get $25 in free merchandise! Sounds good to me!

I bought this Happy 40th Birthday mug. It's brand new, so I didn't think it would hurt to try and sell it.

I got two of these Super Coach mugs. They were both brand new in the box, and I thought someone might want them to give as a gift.

I found this "dog Dad" coffee mug. With fathers day just around the corner, and the fact that it's dog themed, it should sell pretty quickly.

Lastly, I found this Best Dad golf coffee mug. Once again, Father's day is just around the corner. It should sell fairly quick.

Then Saturday, me, mom, my sister, boyfriend, and grandparents all headed to Liberty, KY to go and buy some stuff for our greenhouse. Since we were heading out that way we took some of our old stuff to donate to The Trading Post. It's a thrift store that supports the Galilean home. We went in and looked around a bit, and I found 2 things to resell. I spent a whopping $1.56.

I found this Trivial Pursuit 25th Anniversary ornament. A similar one is listed for $24.95 on eBay.

I also found this cute little guy. He's a figurine from the Mitty Mouse collection called "The Bold Pirate". The figurine was crafted with SO much detail. It was hard not to buy him.
Similar Mitty Mouse figurines sell between $25-$35. So hopefully I can get $30 or so out of mine.

So I've had a pretty good weekend overall! Hopefully, I can turn my $4 investment into about $100!

Goodwill Outlet Haul 2/28/14

Hey everyone! I'm going to go hit up a goodwill later tonight, so I thought I'd go ahead post a haul from last week to get caught up.

Last week was my birthday, so for my present from my parents, I asked to be taken to the Goodwill Outlet for the weekend. Our nearest outlet is about 3 hours or more away, so I had never been before.

We packed our bags and headed out Friday morning. The first thing we did when we reached Nashville, was went into the Goodwill Outlet just to scout it out. We hadn't planned on buying anything, but when we walked in, we just couldn't resist digging through the large bins and filling our carts. If you've never been to a Goodwill Outlet before, everything there is sold by the pound. The prices were cheap, but to get the cheapest price, you had to buy over 50 pounds. So, my mom was saying we needed to get anything we thought we wanted to reach the 50 pound mark. About 2 hours and 3 shopping carts later, we were ready to check out. We rolled our carts up to the checkout counter, weighed them, and stood in awe at how much we had thrown into our carts. We had over 150 pounds of stuff! With the cheap $0.59/pound price, it was such a steal.

By the end of the weekend we had bought over 300 pounds of merchandise from the outlet. It was such an incredible experience, and I was very lucky to get to spend it with some of my favorite people.

Here's a few of my best finds from the trip. Keep in mind this isn't even half of the stuff I bought.. I have enough stuff to list for another month or two!

I found this CUTE Juicy Couture purse. It's missing a few of the rhinestones, but the inside looks brand new!

I found this Nelson snapcover Bible. I saw one exactly like this selling for almost $80!

This Eddie Bauer phone case/wallet. It sold in a couple days for $7.50 +shipping.

I also found these awesome Mcdonalds 1955 purple glasses. 3 of them! They don't sell for too much on eBay, but I thought they were SO cool looking!

And for all the Facebook Farmville fans out there, this I Love Farmville coffee mug. I LOVE selling coffee mugs on eBay. They are one of the easiest items to find and sell. It's a great niche to be selling in on eBay

Of course, I bought TONS more, but this is just a few.. I'll post more finds soon!

First Post! Welcome To The Blog!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog!

A Little About Me: I am a money hungry teenage girl that has been actively searching for ways to  make money at home to help pay for a car, and to put myself through college!

I started out by taking surveys to earn cash, and help pay for some Christmas gifts, but that's just SO time consuming. Then I tried sites that paid you for searching the web.. Now that takes FOREVER! Nothing seemed to be working for me, until I came across eBay..

The eBay addiction first started when I found some old Nintendo games in my grandmas closet. I remembered playing Nintendo all the time when I was younger, but since all the grand kids were growing up, there wasn't anyone there to play the games anymore. So I thought I would see what I could sell them for on eBay, and boy was I surprised! I quickly bagged the games up, took them home, and got to work! That night, I listed the 30+ games on eBay at auction. Instantly, I was getting messages from buyers asking me to set a buy it now price on the auction, but I held out until the end of the 7 days. I watched the price increase every day. It was SO exciting! I stayed home the last night to see how the auction would play out, and within the last few minutes, the games sold for over $150! That was the day I got hooked on the thrill of finding and selling items on eBay!

The eBay buzz lasted about 3 or 4 months before I got so busy with school and working around the house that I just gave up on it. But now, as I'm getting older, I've realized I need to get out and apply for a job.. Maybe start working part time to help pay for a car and put myself through college.. But who wants to do that? I know its an essential part of life, but why couldn't I have a job selling on eBay? The thrill of selling items for big bucks on eBay is a lot more fun than taking orders at McDonalds. So four months ago I logged back into my eBay account. I started out by getting rid of some things around the house and after seeing the amount of money I was making, I had to find more things to sell! Once again eBay had me hooked.. I was selling things for friends and family, keeping a percentage of the profit, but I needed some inventory of my own. That's when the thrift shopping began. I researched the best sellers on eBay and the brands to look for when shopping, and then I went to Goodwill.. An eBay sellers heaven. The store full of name brand clothing, shoes, glassware, and just about anything you can imagine, for dirt cheap prices! The Goodwill has became my absolute favorite place to source items to sell on eBay.

I will be posting eBay sale updates, and thrift store/yard sale hauls! I hope you all enjoy the blog I'm starting! Thanks for reading!
